About the Event

This workshop is designed to refresh our minds by experiencing our present lives within larger contexts of time.

From a human perspective, mountain ranges may seem unchanging and stable. In the context of geological time such landscapes are fleeting. Their changes occur on a scale far beyond human experience. While most human beings measure time in terms of years, econgomic quarters, days, and minutes, geological change occurs within the scale of deep time, the gradual movement of evolutionary change.

“Deep Time” refers to a sense of time that extends well beyond our lifetime. It includes all that has gone before  – that has shaped us and our world – and a sense of how our actions now will shape the future.

Deep Time activities:

·      Bolster resilience

·      Tap into sources of strength and wisdom that lie within and around us.
